"Quality has its origin in the vineyard!" That´s what Rudolf Weber, the "senior of the house" said to himself. The powerful, compact wines produced by the generation succeeding him, namely Helmut and Günther Weber, Gertrude Plöchl, and Karin Lang, prove that notions like consistent limitation of yield and thorough pruning are more than mere lip-service. In the vineyard we direct our attention to intensive care of the vines, in the wine cellar, however, the opposite is the case: We interfere as little as possible with the development of the wine. Three quarters of our vineyards are planted with our leading type of grape, namely Blaufränkisch, the remainder is Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. The wines are developed in large wooden or barrique barrels (30 months). "Weingut Fam. Weber" has found a true "concept of success" which has been proven by numerous awards received in the last years: < zurück zur Übersicht |
